Every person on your team has a role. There are two: Administrator and Editor. Both can use the whole dashboard day to day. The only difference is that administrators also manage the team.
What each role can do
| Administrator | Editor | |
|---|---|---|
| See Home and Reports | Yes | Yes |
| Read and reply to WhatsApp Conversations | Yes | Yes |
| See Calls, review contact details, tag calls, export | Yes | Yes |
| Change Assistants settings (greeting, instructions, hours, transfers…) | Yes | Yes |
| Edit the Knowledge base and each assistant's notes | Yes | Yes |
| Use Settings and Help & guides | Yes | Yes |
| See the Team page: invite, resend invitations, edit roles and names, disable users | Yes | No |
Editors don't see Team in the sidebar at all.
Because editors can change how the assistants answer, invite people you trust with that. Changes to an assistant apply to real customers right away.
Which role to choose
- Administrator: the owner of the account, or whoever adds and removes people when the team changes. Having two administrators is a good idea, so you're never locked out of team management.
- Editor: everyone else who answers customers, reviews calls or keeps the assistant's information up to date.
Change a role
Administrators change roles on the Team page:
- Click Edit on the person.
- Pick the new Role.
- Click Save changes.
People you invite join as Editor. Promote them after they accept the invitation. See Invite and manage your team.
Good to know
- Your team must always keep at least one administrator. If you try to change the last one, the dashboard asks you to make someone else an administrator first.
- If an assistant's settings are greyed out for everyone, that assistant isn't active. That isn't a role issue: contact Edenia.
