Get a glimpse of our team’s work during this challenging and exciting year for web3 technologies.
This year has been one of the most challenging but exciting years for anything related to blockchain technologies. With new ventures appearing every month, our team has been on the look for new opportunities and projects to commit our resources.
Despite the staggering amount of uncertainty, Edenia was able to navigate through some of the most complex months in web3 history. In this article, we tried our best to cover most (if not all) of the projects we worked on during 2023. Drop us a line to start building together!
Project’s updates
Tikuna: a network monitoring system
Tikuna is a proof-of-concept P2P network security monitoring system for the Ethereum blockchain, worked as a collaboration between the Edenia team and research company Sakundi. It was selected as an Academic Grants Round Grantee by the Ethereum Foundation.
Tikuna leverages machine learning to extract security and performance insights for the early detection of security incidents. So far, we’ve released the official website of the project and the public GitHub repository.
We’ve also simulated several attacks on the testing environment that were successfully detected, migrated it to Ethereum's Mainnet, and recently presented it for peer review in Denmark.
Antelope Tools: a data visualization tool
Antelope Tools is a community-driven project that offers data visualization of several blockchain networks, such as EOS, XPR Network, WAX, Telos, and more.
Some of the updates of this ongoing project include: enhancing the data visualization of the block producer endpoints, displaying the percentage of availability based on the health check performed by our tool, offering detailed insights of each network through the bp.json standard, and resolving several bugs related to the health status of endpoints without chain API. Recently, we also included dark mode and other user experience improvements. Start using Antelope Tools now!
Smart EIR: a logistics platform
We’ve been building Smart EIR for some time now. Smart EIR is a gate-in/gate-out management system using blockchain technology to streamline container processing and logistics, running on the XPR Network network, leveraging its capabilities, efficiency, and zero gas fees. Learn more about Smart EIR.
We published an article of our POV on the logistics landscape using blockchain. Read it here.
New projects and partnerships
Polygon ID collaboration
In November, we announced our collaboration with Polygon ID to revolutionize digital identity management, embracing the power of Decentralized IDs (DIDs) and Verified Credentials (VCs) for enhanced security, privacy, and user control. Read more about the collaboration in this article.
With this collaboration, we aim to redefine identity management globally, ushering in a new era of self-sovereign identities by developing a smart contract based on Polygon ID's open-source framework, issuer nodes, and a custom verifier app.
We are also developing a user-friendly platform that allows institutions to issue credentials, users to manage them in a secure mobile wallet, and verifiers to authenticate seamlessly. All the collaboration's assets, including the smart contract, issuer node, and Polygon ID Verifier, will remain open-source. Head over to our GitHub repository. You can also listen to a Space recording here.
VMPX ERC20 < > VMPX BRC20 bridge
We're in the process of crafting a smart contract to facilitate a smooth bridge between VMPX ERC20 and VMPX BRC20. We're leveraging Libre's scalable and user-friendly network to allow the transferring of Bitcoin blockchain-powered tokens as Ethereum NFTs.
The demo's success with the Libre community has inspired us to develop an even stronger v.2. Head over to the app to start swapping on Libre blockchain.
Eden Spend Explorer
We developed Eden Spend Explorer as a data collection and visualization mechanism to provide insightful information about the allocation of funds for all Eden Delegates across all terms. It became a reality after receiving a donation of 7,268.2352 EOS through Pomelo grants.
During Eden’s functioning period, the tool provided users with a visual representation of the flow of EOS tokens on the Eden DAO, which was typically in the form of a graph or chart showing EOS tokens’ movement over the elections.
Genesis Eden community Delegates were able to categorize the funds obtained from elections, allocated monthly to finance ideas and projects for the EOS community's benefit. Check out the project’s GitHub repository.
Pixel Heroes
We helped the people of Pixel Heroes, a web3 game, to onboard them into the XPR Network blockchain where they ran regular NFT drops.
Additionally, we planned to provide an open-source solution to anyone wanting to build their NFT card game on the WAX network.
New blockchain nodes
First Ethereum node in Costa Rica
We've set up a validator node and Ethereum infrastructure in our data center in San José, Costa Rica, positioning the country in the global Ethernet network map. This is all in line with our Tikuna project tests, ongoing development and to enhance diversity and stability in the network. Check for more information.
NYM node
We also started running nodes for NYM from our data center in Costa Rica, as part of our commitment to promote privacy-focused technology. We're confident that being part of NYM's network fabric will boost its decentralization and security capabilities. Learn more about NYM.
Specific blockchain updates
Libre
We’ve been collaborating with the Libre community to build a DeFi blockchain platform that prioritizes user experience for Bitcoin and Tether, aiming to make crypto adoption accessible to more people worldwide. Visit our Libre page.
We’ve been working on several resources for the Libre ecosystem, including a Farming Contract, Libre Local, and a Staking Contract, which has undergone an audit by CertiK.
We’ve also built a Libre DAO contract, to allow token holders to create a project proposal that will be voted to receive funding using Bitcoin. Check out the complete list here.
Additionally, we conducted stress tests on the Libre blockchain to ensure its robustness and scalability, which reached an all-time high of 5,176 TPS.
XPR Network
Our team has been collaborating with the XPR Network community with some resources, such as a full-stack boilerplate to help developers quickly launch a new project on XPR Network, a smart contract to provide an accurate exchange from USD to XPR and vice versa, and XPR Network Local which is a network running in a local environment where developers can test dApps before publishing them publicly.
This year, we shared that the XPR Network Worker Proposal Committee trusted us to develop an on-chain XPR Network Affiliate Program, which allows users to earn XPR, the native token of XPR Network, by referring new users to the XPR Network Wallet. Join now!
We've also just rolled out XPR Network XPR CPU Benchmarks on Antelope Tools, allowing you to visualize the CPU performance of Block Producers, available on XPR Network Mainnet and Testnet.
Telos
Check out some of the projects we've worked on Telos, including adding Telos as a network on Antelope Tools to visualize relevant data from the Mainnet, Block Producers, nodes, API endpoints, and more. We also developed Telos Local as a network running in a local environment where developers can test dApps before publishing them publicly.
Additionally, we registered as Block Producers on the Telos Mainnet. Please, show your support by voting for us using the account: edeniaedenia!
WAX
We also have some updates for the WAX community! We developed a full-stack boilerplate to help developers quickly launch a new project on WAX, including best practices, a full-stack monorepo, and WAX JS integration. Additionally, we created a boilerplate to help developers launch a webapp on WAX and WAX Local, a network running in a local environment where developers can test dApps before publishing them publicly.
Pomelo grants seasons 4-7
At the beginning of the year, we claimed the funds from Pomelo Grants season 4. We received 1485.8419 EOS to fund the further development of Antelope Tools and 7268.2353 $EOS for the Spend Explorer tool.
We also participated in season 5, where we aimed to continue funding our work on Antelope Tools and the Spend Explorer. During season 6, we raised funds to work on new features to promote accountability and reliability on the Telos and EOS networks through Antelope Tools, by improving the overall platform and ensuring Telos networks work seamlessly. Most recently, we participated in season 7 to integrate EOS EVM transactions’ data, add new features, and improve the UI/UX based on community feedback and to fund the development of decentralized IDs and a VCs smart contract on EOS deploying a custom-made Polygon ID verifier.
